Cancellation Policy
The terms for cancelling or postponing a booking at Monte La Vue Boutique Hotel, and our check-in, check-out, children and smoking policies.

- In writing. A cancellation is only effective on receipt of written notification.
- More than 21 days before arrival: only the 10% admin fee is charged.
- Non-arrival or premature departure: 100% of the total booking value, including any extras’ fee, is forfeited/payable to the hotel.
- Postponing: more than 7 days before arrival is not charged; later requests are charged 10% or 30% (see section 2).
- Guaranteed on payment. Room reservations are only guaranteed on full payment, or if otherwise confirmed in writing by the hotel.
- Terms accepted with your deposit. These terms and our cancellation policy are deemed accepted on receipt of the deposit (non-negotiable).

Cancellation
Written notice, charges by notice period, and acceptance of termsCancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification thereof. If a payment is not received in accordance with our payment policy, Monte La Vue Hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking and the guest/tour operator/travel agent will be advised by email. All cancellations will be subject to the following policy:
Room reservations are only guaranteed on full payment or if otherwise – confirmed in writing by Monte La Vue Boutique Hotel.

Postponement

Rebooking window. The new date must be booked within 7 days from the postponement request.
Modifying reservations
Modifying a reservation is to make a change to a booking already made. The changes may be a guest name, number of guests, upgrade or downgrade, check-in/out date etc. The guest may call for this or may do it online themselves.

Day stays and check-in times
- Day stays (people checking in the same day and leaving the same day) – they pay our rack (normal) rate.
- Check-in from 14:00 (preferably by 23:00).
- Early check-in 07:00am – 10:00am: free on arrangement.
- Extra R150 for every hour before 7am.
Early check-ins and late check-outs are subject to availability. You can request one here.
Children

Extra person
Our Deluxe rooms are ideally 2 sleepers, we can only accommodate 1 child 0 – 12 years.
If there is an extra person, we suggest a 2-Bedroom Executive Room.
Smoking
None of our rooms is smoking, therefore smoking in the rooms is strictly prohibited. If caught, a R500 penalty will apply, and the guest will be evicted immediately with no refund.
We have a smoking area, to be shown to all guests on check-in.
