Monte La Vue Hotel Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification thereof. If a payment is not received in accordance with our payment policy, Monte La Vue Hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking and the guest/tour operator/travel agent will be advised by email. All cancellations will be subject to the following policy:

Room reservations are only guaranteed on full payment or if otherwise – confirmed in writing by Monte La Vue Boutique Hotel.

  • There will be 10% of the total booking value admin fee charge for all cancellations.
  • For all non-arrivals or premature departures, 100% of the total booking value including of any extras’ fee will be forfeited/payable to the hotel.
  • Cancellations more than 21 days prior to the date of arrival – Will be charged only the 10% admin fee (as outlined above)
  • Cancellations 21 days or less, prior to the check in date will be charged 25% of total booking value.
  • Cancellations 14 days or less, prior to the check in date will be charged 50% of total booking value.
  • Cancellations 7 days or less prior to the check in date will be charged 100% of total booking value.

Terms and conditions as well as our cancellation policy are deemed as accepted on the receipt of the deposit (Non-negotiable)!

Postponement Policy:

  • Postponement requests made more than 7 days before arrival will not be charged!
  • Postponement requests made less than 7 days before arrival will be charged 10% of the total booking value!
  • Postponement requests made less than 3 days before arrival will be charged 30% of the total booking value!
  • New date must be booked within 7 days from the postponement request.

Modifying Reservations: Modifying reservation is to make a change to a reservation to already booking made. The changes maybe a guest name, number of guests, upgrade or downgrade, check in/out date etc. The guest may call for this or may do it online themselves.

Handling the guest’s needs professionally and with care is essential to creating a positive guest experience. Generally, the front desk team should do its best to accommodate all of the requests and modifications while ensuring the request/modification is in-line with the company policies.

 

Other Policies

 

Early check Policy:

Sundays – Thursday (off peak) = Free early check in from 10am – before 2pm

07am – 10am (anytime before 10am) – R300 extra – Subject to availability

Friday – Saturdays, Holidays (Peak Seasons): If there availability 12am – before 2pm – Free

07am – before 12pm (anytime before 12pm) R300  extra

Late Check out Policy:

Sundays – Thursdays (off Peak):

10:00am Until 12pm – Free late Check out

From there R150 extra per hour

Fridays – Saturdays, Holidays (Peak days)

First 30 Minutes Free (10:00am- 11:30am)

From there R300 extra per hour – This is only if there is a late arrival for that specific room.

Day stays (people checking the same day and leave the sameday) – they pay our RACK (Normal) Rate.

Check in at 10:00am – 08:00pm

Early check 07:00am – 10:00am Free on arrangement.

Extra R150 per every hour before 7am

Early check ins/late check outs are subject to availability, this has to be approved by the duty Manager prior to confirming with the guest.

Children Policy:

Children from the age 0 – 5 Years Stay for free   –  No additional, blanket  , mug, glass will be offered.  The room is offered as it is.

Children 6 Years and above pay R400 per night on the couch.

Children above the age of 12 Years are considered adults. The adult rate applies.

Extra person Policy:

Our Deluxe rooms are ideally 2 sleepers, we can only accommodate 1 child 0 – 12 years

If there is an extra person – Suggest a 2-Bedroom executive Room

Smoking Policy:

None of our rooms is smoking, therefore smoking in the rooms is strictly prohibited, if caught R500 penalty will apply, and the guest will be evicted immediately with no refund. We have a smoking area to be shown to all the guests on check in. 

Laundry Policy:

The guest has to fill in a laundry form, the laundry person has to confirm the checklist if the items in the laundry bin corresponds with what is on the laundry sheet filled in by the guest, if it does not correspond, please do not take it, wait for the guest – this is to avoid the guest complaining that his stuff is missing from the laundry.
